My Idea/Proposal

My plan is now to create some type of outdoor seating area within parks situated in large cities. The reason for this is to hopefully bring further awareness of our environmental crisis to the public that live in more urban areas.
And so my design will have 2 aspects of sustainability, both the product and the awareness/message that it portrays.


I have a found this image which represents the type of ideas I am having, however I wish my tree to be slightly more sculptured so that we can see the seat clearer.

Shaping trees




I began to look at how to shape trees.
I found that the technical terms for shaping trees are: tree training, arborsculpture, Pooktre, and there are alot of methods of doing it.




I realise I am only creating a concept and not an actual project, however I am curious about the process as well as needing to know the limits if I am to create a design.

By looking at the way these trees have been shaped. I believe it is possible and relatively easy to create the shapes for my ideas. I realise that it takes time to shape trees as the trees have to grow however, the concept is thinking about the long run and I feel that this would be a good path to go down.
